Gretchen, a civil rights attorney and advocate, is challenging a 40+-year incumbent who receives a 100% approval rating from MA Citizens for Life and a 48% approval rating from the NRA. The people of the 14th Suffolk District are ready for change!

Gretchen shares, “After the 2016 Presidential election, I knew that I had to step up and do more to fight for my neighbors in this most diverse and inclusive district in Boston. I knew I also had to step up to ensure that our state legislature fulfills its responsibility to serve as a check and balance on the excesses of the federal government, to protect our Commonwealth and her people, and to protect our democracy. We need fierce advocates on Beacon Hill who will not settle for business as usual, and I’ve never settled for business as usual!”

As State Representative, Gretchen will focus on education, affordable housing, mass transit, criminal justice reform, and health care.

“My extensive background and track record of success in working to make positive change in seemingly impossible circumstances, including equal marriage, women’s rights, and extending the anti-discrimination laws in Massachusetts. No one else in this race has my record of accomplishment and no one is working harder to earn the support of voters in the 14th Suffolk District.”
