“It makes sense that what happens upstream affects those downstream. Headwater streams and wetlands are vital parts of our water infrastructure and they’re connected to larger rivers. They are the backbone of healthy communities and a robust economy, and they should be provided the same protections as larger waterways.
However, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) wants to get rid of protections for small streams and wetlands. The EPA has proposed to repeal safeguards for water bodies that contribute to the drinking water for more than 1 in 3 Americans, filter pollutants, absorb floodwaters, and provide habitat for wildlife across the nation. We cannot let this happen! Please submit a comment to the EPA today and tell Administrator Scott Pruitt to keep the Clean Water Rule!”
