Attend Tonight’s North Shore Commonwealth Conversations – Tell Your Senators What’s Important to You!

Attend tonight’s North Shore Commonwealth Conversations – and get a chance to speak directly to all the Senators in attendance about whatever you want!

This is a BIG DEAL and a GREAT way to have your voice heard. Senate President Stan Rosenberg said these forums help drive their legislative agenda for the year. Let them know what’s important!

The forum will be hosted by by Senator Joan Lovely, Senator Sal DiDomenico, Senator Jason Lewis, Senator Ken Donnelly and Thomas McGee.

Time: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Location: Town Hall Forum at Higgins Middle School
Address: Address: 85 Perkins St, Peabody, MA 01960

If you want to speak, put your name on a list when you arrive. During the town hall they’ll let you know when you’re on deck to speak and when you’re up. When you’re up you have 2 minutes to share your thoughts with all the senators.

Not sure what to talk about? Here’s a few ideas:

* Ask your senators to pass SD.98. “Presidential Tax Returns Bill” which would prohibit presidential candidates from appearing on the MA ballot if they didn’t disclose their taxes. Senator Barrett who proposed this legislation will be there tonight!

* Ask your senators to oppose dangerous new gun laws that would repeal common sense protections we have in place in MA. Oppose bills SD 1157 and SD 1889.  You can also ask them to support SD.2087 “An Act Relative to Preventing Illegal Trafficking of Firearms” that Senator Creem has proposed.

* Ask your senators to support any issue that’s important to you: healthcare, education, the environment, etc. Share a brief personal story of how it affects you to make it even more powerful.

During or afterward, tweet us @ActTogetherMA and use the tour’s hashtags: #MAConvos and #NShoreConvos And follow those hashtags throughout the day as the Senators post during their tour of the North Shore.
