****EMERGENCY Call to Action: Tuesday, Mar 28th****
FOCUS: Internet Privacy
GOAL: Stop the GOP from overturning crucial online privacy rules
DEADLINE: Immediately!! (The House is voting on this TODAY)
Call your representatives today. Tell them to vote NO on S.J. Resolution 34 and to keep your privacy rights intact.
(Remember – for this one, you need to call your Representative, not your Senator!)
(From the ACLU)
Don’t let Congress dismantle crucial online privacy rules.
Companies like Comcast, AT&T, and Verizon should not be able to use and sell the sensitive data they collect from you without your permission. That’s why common sense Federal Communications Commission rules were put in place last year to protect your privacy.
But some politicians are rolling back your rights. The Senate passed a resolution to allow internet service providers to sell your sensitive data without your permission. Now the House is about to vote.
